I received an incredibly thoughtful email from a wonderful human named Mary-Anne today. Mary-Anne got in touch with me because she and her Girl Scout Troop stumbled across some of the resources that I shared while working on their Go Green badges, which they’re currently earning via Zoom due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Like everyone else, I’ve felt pretty isolated for the last month. I’m lucky to be able to shelter in place with my husband and our kitties but, naturally, we miss our friends and families. Mary-Anne’s email was a great (and much needed) reminder even though isolation can be lonely, we’re not actually alone—we’re all in this together.
I’ve also found a kindred spirit in Mary-Anne, who loves books and cooking just as much as I do! She has a sweet little website devoted to her family and interests, check her out at maryanneandtom.com. Mary-Anne and her girls also shared a wonderful article with me about plastic pollution in our oceans. I’ll be adding it to my resources page as soon as I know what Girl Scout troop number I have to thank for the addition 🙂
Take care, stay safe, be grateful for what you have, and remember—you’re not alone <3
